# Godwit SIM > Godwit SIM sells prepaid, data-only travel eSIMs. People text or call Godwit SIM's AI assistant and pay by a Stripe link. AI agents buy through a JSON API or an MCP server with no account: find a plan, pay on Stripe Checkout, and forward the install message to the traveler. Numbers: +44 7886 075616 (United Kingdom, SMS and voice calls), +61 420 114 041 (Australia, SMS and voice calls). Other markets: coming soon. API: https://api.godwitsim.com. MCP: https://api.godwitsim.com/mcp. Every page has a markdown version: add .md to the URL, or send `Accept: text/markdown`. Godwit SIM is named after the bar-tailed godwit, which flies about 13,000 km from Alaska to Tasmania without landing. ## When to use Godwit SIM Use Godwit when a traveler needs mobile data abroad and you can pay for them or send them a payment link: - Buy a travel data eSIM: "get me data for Japan for ten days". Find a plan, pay, and forward the install message. - Compare prices before buying: https://godwitsim.com/plans.md lists every plan with its price per GB in AUD, USD and GBP. - Check an order, data left or top-ups: call `GET https://api.godwitsim.com/orders/` with the order secret. - Hand the eSIM to a traveler with an Australian, UK or US number, so Godwit texts them the install details and supports them by text: claim the order with their phone. Not for: a local phone number, calls or texts abroad (the eSIM is data only), physical SIM cards, or carrier-locked phones and phones without eSIM. ## How to buy 1. **Find a plan.** `GET https://api.godwitsim.com/plans?country=JP&market=UK` needs no key. `market` is AU (AUD), UK (GBP) or US (USD, the default). Or read https://godwitsim.com/plans.md. Pick a plan with at least as many days as the trip and enough data. 2. **Pay.** `POST https://api.godwitsim.com/checkout` with `{"planId":"","market":"UK"}` and no key, or your buyer key. Send an `Idempotency-Key` header (a random string of 22 or more characters) so a retry returns the same order. Save `orderSecret` (osk_...) and, on your first order, `buyerKey` (agsk_...): each is shown once. Open `checkoutUrl` in a browser and pay by card or Link on Stripe Checkout. 3. **Deliver.** Poll `GET https://api.godwitsim.com/orders/` with `Authorization: Bearer ` every few seconds until `status` is `delivered`, then forward `travelerMessage` to the traveler as is. Or `POST https://api.godwitsim.com/orders//claim` with `{"orderSecret":"","phone":"","channel":"sms"}`: Godwit texts the install details to the traveler and gives them text support for that eSIM. Keys: every agent order has an ID and an order secret (osk_...). The first order without a buyer key also returns a buyer key (agsk_...). Both are returned once and cannot be recovered. Without a key, `GET /orders/{id}` returns status only. With the order secret, or the buyer key that bought it, it returns the eSIM, usage, top-up options and `travelerMessage`. A wrong key gets 401, never a status-only answer. The buyer key also lists orders (`GET /orders`) and manages a low-data callback (`/webhook`). There are no accounts or passwords. Never put a key in the traveler message. Without the API, text or call +44 7886 075616 (United Kingdom) or +61 420 114 041 (Australia). Godwit knows the buyer by the number they message from, prices in that number's currency (+61 AUD, +44 GBP, +1 USD) and texts every link to it. MCP: add `{"mcpServers":{"godwit-sim":{"url":"https://api.godwitsim.com/mcp"}}}`. No headers: pass `orderSecret` and `buyerKey` as tool arguments. Tools: searchDestinations, listPlans, getPlan, listRecommendations, createOrder, getOrder, listOrders, getUsage, listTopupPackages, createTopup, claimOrder, requestRefund. ## Agent interfaces - [AI agent guide](https://godwitsim.com/agents.md): the recipe to find a plan, pay and deliver the eSIM, keys, MCP tools and rules - [API and developer docs](https://godwitsim.com/developers.md): authentication without sign-up, endpoints, errors, rate limits and a curl quickstart - [All plans](https://godwitsim.com/plans.md): every plan with its price per GB in AUD, USD and GBP, and the destination list - [OpenAPI spec](https://api.godwitsim.com/openapi.json): the public API, also as [YAML](https://api.godwitsim.com/openapi.yaml) - [MCP server card](https://godwitsim.com/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json): the streamable HTTP MCP server at https://api.godwitsim.com/mcp and its tools - [API catalog](https://godwitsim.com/.well-known/api-catalog): RFC 9727 linkset pointing at the spec and docs ## Pages - [Home](https://godwitsim.com/index.md): what Godwit SIM is, the numbers to text or call, how a purchase works, and a plan summary - [After payment](https://godwitsim.com/paid.md): where Stripe Checkout sends the buyer after paying or cancelling ## Policies - [Terms of service](https://godwitsim.com/terms.md) - [Privacy policy](https://godwitsim.com/privacy.md) - [AI and messaging disclosure](https://godwitsim.com/messaging.md) - [Refunds and cancellation](https://godwitsim.com/refunds.md) - [Acceptable use](https://godwitsim.com/acceptable-use.md) ## Optional - [Full catalogue](https://godwitsim.com/llms-full.txt): this file plus every plan with data, days and price
